The Scoop with Sensi: I'm heading to Mexico!

I've owned this business for almost a decade (more on that celebration coming soon!). I love being an entrepreneur. I love creating. I love being in charge of my hours. I love the freedom to make decisions. I love the autonomy.

But if there's one thing about running your own business that I've experienced, it's that it all falls on you–you are the one in charge, you're the one making the decisions, you're the one responsible. How that has manifested in my business is that I've had trouble taking breaks. In the 9 years that I've been running this brand, I've never taken an extended break. I've taken weeks off here and there but my mind has always been tapped into running the business.

Therefore, on the eve of getting married (November 5th baby!), I've decided to take a month off. Yes, a whole month. No checking email. No checking sales. No content production. Just a complete reset.

Here's how I'm making that happen.

1. I'm trusting my  team. I have some rockstars on my team and I'm letting go of control, stepping back and trusting them to get the job done.

2. I've batch scheduled all of our content. The Scoop will continue! I've taken the time to get organized and produce and schedule all of our content for the month (I offer 1:1 mentoring if you need to learn how to do this!).

3. I've spent time developing systems. We've documented processes, outlaid scenarios and had open communication around how to make sure everything gets handled.

4. I keep choosing how I want to feel. I want to feel empowered, abundant, confident and joyful. I don't want to be stressed while I'm experiencing this once in a lifetime joy. Therefore I keep actively tapping into HOW DO I WANT TO FEEL? and WHAT IS GOING TO MAKE ME FEEL THAT WAY?

I can't wait to cultivate this time and space away. Thank you for following along. I'll be sharing on my personal instagram while I'm gone. See you in a month!!
