It's that time of year! Time to make the migration to the East Coast of North Carolina to the island chain known as the Outer Banks.
The Outer Banks have a special place in my heart--they're where I learned to kiteboard.
Where I met my husband.
Where I first started competing in kiteboarding.
Where I dreamt up my swimwear line.
Where I launched a charity fashion show.
My life has been shaped and formed by this location and the special people that I've known for over a decade now.
It feels very significant to be heading back there 10 years after I launched this brand. I'll be on the island running a women's kiteboarding camp and I'm so stoked to continue offering support and empowerment for women on and off the water.
Going from being a kiteboarding instructor at Real Watersports to competing in the biggest kiteboarding competition in the United States to starting a charity fashion show and now returning to run my own kite camps---it feels good to take a second to acknowledge how far I've come.
I'll be sharing my journey on instagram all week and I hope you'll follow along!
If you're on North Carolina, hit me up on social! I'd love to say hi while I'm there (and of course I'm bringing some suits!).
These are my current favorites from the lineup:
